Weekly Update

Happy New Year to everyone; we hope you all had a lovely, restful Christmas break. It has been great to see all the children back in school this week all wrapped up for the chilly weather we have been having!

Even with a shorter week, we have made a good start on our new curriculum units and have lots of exciting events coming up for the children in the spring term.

Mr Jackson invited Owen from Yorkshire Cricket Club to work with the Y4, 5 and 6 children on striking and fielding skills on Thursday which they thoroughly enjoyed, despite the chilly weather!

Have a lovely weekend.

Attendance Matters

It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning.

There are our attendance figures for this week:

Much improved attendance this week and a HUGE well done to Class 614 for getting 100%.  Let’s aim for more classes with 100% over the coming weeks.

If children are arriving late or leaving school early for medical appointments, please make sure that evidence is provided to the school office.

Reminders

*Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner.

*Please remember that children shouldn’t be playing on the P.E. equipment on the playgrounds/field before and after school as there needs to be a member of staff supervising them at all times.
