Weekly Update
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre last night. There was a wonderful turnout, and it was lovely to see so many happy, smiling faces to start off our festive season. With your help, we managed to raise over £2500 for school funds.
Rehearsals for our Christmas Performances started this week and the children are working hard at learning their songs and words. Please see below for our timetable of Christmas events which we welcome you to attend.
We have enjoyed celebrating Stars in our Schools today where we said a big thank you to all our support staff. These include our wonderful kitchen staff, admin staff, teaching assistants, caretaker, ICT technician, cleaners, lunchtime supervisors and many more roles in school. It takes a whole team to make a school a safe and happy place for all children, and we couldn’t do it without them all.

We also want to say a HUGE thank you for all the donations to the CAUSE hampers which each class are putting together – please could any other items be brought in by next Monday.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Nursery
In Nursery last Tuesday, it was lovely to see lots of parents/carers attend our Stay and Read session. We enjoyed a shared read of ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson (one of our favourite stories in Nursery), and the children loved sharing lots of stories in our continuous provision areas with their grown-up! The children definitely had lots of fun; thank you to everyone who attended.
We have also been very busy practising our Phase One Phonics skills; this week we have worked on Rhythm and Rhyme. The children have enjoyed the challenge of making a delicious ‘Silly Soup’ that rhymes for Mr Wolf to enjoy for his dinner! The children said that his favourite ingredients are a log – dog and a frog!
In the next couple of weeks in Nursery we will begin to practise our Christmas Songs, in preparation for our Christmas Sing-Along!

Reception

Attendance Matters
It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning. We have had a very positive start during Autumn 1.

Overall %
Lots of illness this week but, well done to the 6 classes who got 96% or above this week.
Let’s see if some classes can get 100% next week!
If children are arriving late or leaving school early for medical appointments, please make sure that evidence is provided to the school office.

Diary Dates and Reminders…

Reminders
*Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner.
*Please remember that children shouldn’t be playing on the P.E. equipment on the playgrounds/field before and after school as there needs to be a member of staff supervising them at all times.
