Weekly Update

Christmas has got into full swing this week with rehearsals continuing for our Performances which the children are really looking forward to presenting to everyone next week.

The whole school also thoroughly enjoyed the M and M pantomime of Aladdin on Wednesday afternoon which was a lovely experience for the children to see. On Thursday, a visit from the reindeers put a smile on many children’s faces and it was a valuable opportunity to see them close up and admire these iconic animals.

Our CAUSE hampers were completed this week and a HUGE thank you for all the generous donations which will be passed on to the families. This was an amazing whole school effort, so well done to everyone!

Mr Jackson rounded off our sporting calendar for the year with a Table Tennis competition today at Ormesby TTC. Our Y6 children won the Middlesbrough Table Tennis competition for the 10th time in a row this afternoon! The children won every single game they played and all collected gold medals!   Some of our KS2 children took part in an ice-skating festival at Billingham on Thursday. The children had a great time and showed great determination to improve their skating skills

Year 1

Christmas has truly struck Year 1 this week.
We have been very busy practising for our performances on Monday and Tuesday and are looking forward to welcoming our adults to see all our hard work.
On Wednesday, we were lucky enough to be able to watch a pantomime. It told the story of Aladdin and we loved the singing and dancing .
On Thursday, we had some reindeer join us. We met Ronnie and Uska and got to feed and pet them. We asked lots of questions  and found out some amazing facts.
We cannot wait to see what other festive treats we have in store for us before we break up.

Year 2

Year 2 have had a jam-packed week! On Wednesday, we had a special surprise: a Christmas pantomime! It was very funny, and everybody had a fantastic time. We’ve also been practising hard for our Christmas play: we’re having a dress rehearsal and performing for the school on Friday afternoon. We can’t wait to perform for our adults next week – can’t wait to see you all there!

Attendance Matters

It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning.

There are our attendance figures for this week:

Overall 90.6%

Lots of illness again this week but, well done to the 4 classes who got 96% or above this week.

If children are arriving late or leaving school early for medical appointments, please make sure that evidence is provided to the school office.

Reminders

*Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner.

*Please remember that children shouldn’t be playing on the P.E. equipment on the playgrounds/field before and after school as there needs to be a member of staff supervising them at all times.
