Weekly Update ☀️
The Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed having their parents and carers in school yesterday afternoon, where they made a range of poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day. It was so good to reflect together about this significant event in British history. The poppies were used in our special Remembrance Day assembly today.
We have lots of events next week, starting with Odd Socks Day on Monday, when children (and staff) can wear unusual or mismatched socks to celebrate their individuality. This is the start of Anti-Bullying Week, with this year’s theme Power for Good.
Friday is also Children in Need Day, and we invite the children to wear bright colours or Pudsey-themed clothing in exchange for a donation towards this very popular charity.
We hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Book Shop

As the nights are drawing in and more of us are tucked up at home thinking about the 25th of December, we have decided to run an online bookshop. This will allow you to purchase discounted books while raising funds for the school. The shop is only open until the 30th of November, but every purchase will help keep our library stocked with the latest titles. We have attached two links to leaflets to provide some inspiration, the first is primary and the second is for pre-teens.
Thank you for your continued support, and happy shopping!
Attendance Matters
It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning. We have had a very positive start to the new term.
There are our attendance figures for this week:

Overall 94.6%
A big well done to 613 for winning the attendance trophy as well as Nursery am, Class R01, Class 308, Class 410 and Class 613 for getting over 96%. Let’s keep this up and aim for even more classes in the green in the coming weeks.

Reminders
*Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this really helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner, and we would encourage all parents to make sure that uniform is named please.
