Weekly Update ☀️
We hope everyone had a lovely, relaxing summer break. We have loved welcoming our children back into school this week, and they have had a very settled start. The children look so smart in their uniforms, and the new PE kit has proved a very useful addition to everyone in school. Thank you for your support with this.
Despite the inclement weather this week, the children have had lots of outdoor play and learning, enjoying using our equipment.
Keep a look at the Diary Dates below to see events coming up over this half term.
Have a relaxing weekend.
Attendance Matters
It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning.
There are our attendance figures for this week:

Overall 94.6%
A big well done to Nursery am for getting 100% – a fantastic achievement – and to Class 104 who won our attendance trophy as well as Class 308, Class 512 and Class 613 who also got over 96%.
If children are arriving late or leaving school early for medical appointments, please make sure that evidence is provided to the school office.
Just a reminder that school cannot authorise holidays in term time except in exceptional circumstances. As a reminder, we have attached the National Framework for Penalty Notices, issued by the DfE.

Reminders
* Mrs Gallant will be sending an app message regarding medical needs but please inform school if there are any changes to your child’s medical needs over the school year.
*Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this really helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner, and we would encourage all parents to make sure that uniform is named please.
*If you have had any change of address or telephone number over the summer, please could you inform the school office asap.
* If you need to contact your child’s class teacher by email, please send a message to awcontact@acklamwhin.org.uk with FAO name of teacher, and the message will be forwarded to them.
