Weekly Update
Another jam-packed week for everyone in ever rising temperatures!
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and supported the children at the Sports Days – it was lovely to see you and the children participated so well, especially in the heat. A huge thank you to Mr Jackson who organised all the activities and made sure the events ran smoothly. A huge thanks to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket at one of our Sports Day events. Winners have been notified 🙂
Our Year 6 children have experienced time at their new schools which allowed them to experience new routines and timetables. Within school, the children visited their new classes and met their new teachers last Monday and they will have a further opportunity to do that again next week.
On Wednesday, the Year 5 children experienced a music workshop led by TVMS which was linked to their current Geography unit about Whitby.
On Thursday, the Year 1 children had a fantastic trip to the Castle Howard Arboretum where they enhanced their current science work on Plants. They were so well looked after by the volunteers at the venue.
We ended the week with a wonderful concert from our Rocksteady bands which demonstrated their teamwork and commitment to their lessons. It was fabulous to see the progress you have all made. A huge thank you to Luke who leads the lessons.

Year 1
It is so important that we see your children in school every day as any missed days means missed learning.
There are our attendance figures for this week:
Overall 94.6%
A big well done to Class 205 for winning the attendance this week as well as Nursery am and pm, Class R01, Class 103 and Class 308 who all got over 96%.
Let’s keep this up and aim for even more children getting over 96% for the final week of term.
Reminders
Reminders
- Please can we remind all children and parents that bikes and scooters should not be ridden on the school playground. Please jump off your vehicle and push it along to avoid any accidents.
- Please can we remind you that children should be wearing black school shoes with their uniform on non-PE days. On PE days, only black or white trainers should be worn with their PE kit.
- Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s uniform; this really helps us to return any lost property to its rightful owner, and we would encourage all parents to make sure that uniform is named please.
